Me and my boys are finally leaving independence to alcove springs which is 166 miles away and will take us about 6 days. My luck is that the train in front of ours were a bunch of city people couldn't handle their animals so we had to sit there for about an hour then we finally went on our way then we noticed a problem there was too much weight so I looked inside the wagon and there was a big dresser in there with nothing in it so we had no choice to throw it out the dresser didn't really mean much but it was expensive but after we get to Oregon and start farming we can buy another one. When we get to the snake river we pay the ferry 20 dollars and within minutes we are in the other side safe and normal as can be there weren't very many problems considering all the hidden holes in the river bottom. We start going on again heading for fort Boise and we see this chest just sitting there and we were wondering what was inside so I broke the lock off and there was money and lots of it at least 150 dollars that we grabbed. We are in fort Boise now and there a lot of places to shop and trade animals in we traded our exhausted oxen for energized oxen that will take us the rest of the way. I used some of our money to buy food and stuff for the wagon and animals. Fort Boise is a great place for us to stop and rest until we continue on. We're in Whitman mission now but on our way here we had to go through the blue mountains there was a pathway cut through making a road over the mountains so it was passable for wagons. We went past a lot of trees and forest some places were really steep and kind of difficult to get through. No that we are in Whitman mission everything is so much better here especially after traveling 255 miles to get
