Hi Reneld, On Thursday, June 8th, I had talked to an advisor about schedule revision. She said that I do not need to revise my schedules, since there was a mistake with my program completion; that I am working on Associate of Arts Degree instead of AS2 degree. She said she already notified you about this. Have you received this notification?
“Dad where are you?” she said. She turned on the flashlight and entered the woods. She was searching around until she found the bodies half buried, blood everywhere. “Dad? John?”
“Spirit, hear me. I am not the man I was... I will honor Christmas in my heart... I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future... I will not shut out the lessons that they teach”.
Growing up in an American household was a challenge. The topic of sex seemed to be forbidden. My parents would always tell me that I couldn’t date until I was eighteen years old. If I ever asked about dating, they would never give me the time of day. When I was sixteen years old, I met a boy that I was interested in.

And, this is my life. I am one out of seven kids in my house. With my Mom, Dad, Carl(annoying, crazy, and sometimes funny), Odell(generous, loving, crazy in a good way, plays football for WMI, and also does a funny impression on how girls act), Drew(I don’t see him much but when I do see him he’s nice, and he has a warming smile), Jasmine(so sweet/too sweet, very wise, selfless, and beautiful), and Cierra(egotistical, funny, lazy, and good sense of fashion). I also have siblings that don’t live with me, their names are My-My(5 years.

Your name is who you are; it’s the essence of your being. You and your name will go through thick and thin, young and old, and life and death together. You two are forever inseparable, like brother and sister, white on rice, or a fat boy and triple chocolate cake. My name happens to be Mykel. To many people I encounter in life, phonetically pronounce my name as “Michael,” “Mukal,” or even “Mah-Kawyll” by my Southern eleventh grade AP English teacher, Ms. Clawson, who always butchered my name with different pronunciations for the first two months of the quarter, and somehow managed to make it sound similar to an imitation crow call by an amateur bird caller.
None of my sisters have the same dad as me and that was kinda hard for my mom having to drop us all off at three different places. My two younger sisters have the same dad and my older sister and I kinda have the same dad since he was there when she was born and her biological dad wasn't so he just treated Aiyana like she was his real daughter. Many months after we heard the news about my mom the girl who supervised was gone and we went to the doctors to find out if it was a boy or girl. Everyone was hoping it would be a boy because my mom already had four girls.
Throughout my life I have come from and created a few identities for myself. Perhaps, the most dominant identities that have been apart of my life are being an athlete and being a family orientated man. In this paper I will write about how my identities have shaped my life. First off I believe my biggest identity is being an athlete.
My parents, like most of us in the U.S., immigrated with dreams for a better future, but also feared the cultural unknowns. Three out of my four siblings have received a college education and I am who they consider as the trailblazer and the catalyst that left Houston, TX to attend university and study abroad for a larger view of life, and left no room for fear in her luggage. Growing up my father worked in construction and instilled in me a strong work ethic, dependability, and to strive for success that has molded me to be the fearless woman I am today.
December 22, just another day, or so I thought . Everything was going as planned, waking up and enjoying the beautiful morning. I thought to myself “What could go wrong this day.” I played my basketball game at Serra and after a good win went to dinner with my parents. We enjoyed the delicious and steamy chinese food served by our waiter.
