It’s August 28, 1963 and I have a dream. I have a dream that this nation is going to become independent and that colored men and white men will be able to be united. I have a dream that one day colored men and white men can use the same bathrooms and can use the same drinking fountains. I have a dream today that nations would accept the fact that peace is needed. I have a dream today that this nation would understand that all men and women are created equal. I have a dream that colored children would be able to play with white children without violence. I wish that colored men and colored women could sit in whichever seat they wanted to instead of having to sit in a curtain place chosen for them. This nation should not be allowed to choose
