and it was close all the way to the end. We were down by 2 with 20 seconds to go and Mattson got fouled. He went to the line and made 1 of 2 free throws. Marquette had the ball and they missed their shot. We got the ball and we drove down the floor I got the ball and threw it to Jacob who threw it to Jake
It was just amazing feeling to be there. Music was playing, fans were screaming, and it was just loud. The lighting was very bright then the usual rinks in America that I played for the other teams. And after I see this, I promised myself that I would never forget this game and the
before they did awards because they played songs well teams got ready and one of the songs was Hit The Quan. Then every cheer team there started doing the Hit The Quan dance. Then they started the awards. They read off by last place first so after they knew they were in top two the team was so happy, then when they said that Synergy got first place they went bazerk. It was insane how crazy the crowd got and how loud the chee team was.
NEW PROVIDENCE, NEW JERSEY- This past Friday, on June 5th, the rain did not prevent Salt Brook Elementary School from inviting New Providence High School students from across town for a day of community service. It was the high school’s third community service trip of the year as students previously visited the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside and Allen W. Roberts Elementary School. The 23 high school students on Friday’s trip took part in various field day activities such as the Bean Bag Toss, the Long Jump, and the Spoon and Golf Ball Relay.
It was mid-February, Whittier’s C team was almost undefeated. Since it was past midseason, D team played first. I don’t remember if they won or not, but I’ll give you a summary. Lots of people running up and down the court missing layups. There were funny moments and there were epic battles for loose balls, but it was just as intense as any other basketball game.
As a junior I moved from Ryan HIgh School to Braswell High School due to my zoning with the new school. Braswell High School was a brand new high school. I attended the first year it was open in which the highest grade level they offered was juniors. Most of the students moved from their old high schools to Braswell were devastated due to the strong school spirit at their previous schools. The administration at Braswell attempted to inspire new school spirit in all the students especially the junior class.
I leaped as high as I could and unfortunately missed the tip the game was already heading south but the game had just started so we had no worries. The first quarter had several lead changes we both had bad shooting quarters shooting below the 30% but that wasn’t what mattered we were all worried about looking good as a team and winning the game not individual stats. About ¾ of the way through the first quarter our coach called a timeout and called us to the sideline and said “Guys you are a great group of kids and have made my coaching experience beyond expectable and you are a bright group of kids so after this season I’ll be retiring and making sure I go out with bang so win this game for me!” and that’s when the game took a drastic change, we began to play with our heart not just our
There it was, standing in the distance, a tall gloomy gray-colored building. With a few splashes of blue paint added to the dull cement to add color to what would otherwise be a lifeless building. This building was non-other than the one and only Stoller Middle School. I never referred to it as a middle school but more as a prison, it was full of rules that were put in place just to suck away any possible fun from a child’s mind. Maybe I didn’t like the place because I was suspended five times from it.
There were over four thousand people there to watch the game. The Knicks were the second worst team in the NBA at the time, while our team, the Warriors, was 46-29, so I felt confident that my team would win. The game soon started and I was guarded by Darrall Imhoff of the Knicks, but he was no match for me. At the end of the game everyone was happy and cheering for me because I had scored 100 points. I saw the stats at the end of the game and I had shot 36-63 from the field and was 28 of 32 from the free throw line.
Imagine that you have been trying something hard for so long and then finally just quit. I have always had ok grades here at Lowell Middle School. this year I started to go in the lower range of grades like D’s to C’s. But other years at lowell schools were not even close to years like this.
Then we just scored and scored so at the end of the game it was 54-12 they never scored again we shook hands, and all i could hear was the crowd cheering for us. After that we got on the bus to head to chandler to get out things and head home. It was a short and loud bus drive to chandler. It was a happy day we all went home with smiles on our faces and we beat west everyone was happy I went home ate took a shower and went to
This team outworked everyone and wanted it more than everyone I have ever seen although we won a lot of games this year I will never forget the feeling of the locker rooms those boys had in a loss, they took everything on themselves making them such good leaders this team pushed themselves above and beyond and deserved everything they achieved this year . I guess what I’m trying to say is making it to state in basketball is an incredible achievement that requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and skill. It is a journey that requires a deep passion for the game, and a willingness to push oneself to their limits. It is a testament to the power of teamwork, and to the importance of having skilled coaches and dedicated players. In conclusion Being able to play at such a high level was such an Accomplishment and something I have always wanted to do.
I went up and high fived my teammates. I got put out for a couple of minutes to cool down. While I was put out I spent a couple minutes trying to get back in the game, but the rest of the time of the game I spent clapping and cheering on my team. A couple of painful minutes later the game ended and we had won. I high fived my teammates and the other team.
My favorite player in the NBA hit the game winner, and I was shouting for the skies because we had won. I was jumping up and down and just so happy all because my team won. It had felt as if I was at the game with all the fans in the enormous crowd. The blood was rushing in me and I was a happy camper for the rest of the
As I walked into the basketball court, I could feel the excitement of a new season. Players getting ready for the game, parents talking to others, coaches talking about points of emphasis, and referees waiting for the players. We started the game and by the first half, I scored 7 points. The score at halftime was 15 - 14. The Bears were winning.
