Soccer Team-Personal Narrative

It was a chilly spring afternoon. The breeze brushed my hair across my face as I looked out at the soccer field. The sun temporarily blinded me as I looked back at the stands, my eyes searching wildly for my father. I smiled as I turned back around at the striking game. We were winning against North, and we knew it. I grabbed the yellow sub jersey like my life depended on it. I went to the flag and stood there and watched like a hawk stalking its next victim. I studied the blue and red teams footwork and maneuvers carefully. As I watched I noticed how intimidating they looked. I watched as the two girls fell for it then tried to catch up. I then ran forward as Abby and the other forwards went towards North’s goal. As I was running I watched as the goalie came out and Abby shot it. Cheering and clapping erupted from the field and the sidelines as we had scored another goal. I went up and high fived my teammates. I got put out for a couple of minutes to cool down. While I was put out I spent a couple minutes trying to get back in the game, but the rest of the time of the game I spent clapping and cheering on my team. A couple of painful minutes later the game ended and we had won. I high fived my teammates and the other team. Afterwards we took team photos, talked, and hugged for the last time as a team. It was sad but we were all pretty happy with ourselves for winning though. Couple months later, I 'm standing up before a bleacher full of parents smiling at their graduating 8th graders. I stood awkwardly as the teacher said my name and awards. One of my awards happened to be team sportsmanship or something like that for constantly cheering on my teammates and helping them out.
