The History of Soccer and How It Came to America The history of soccer is very interesting. There is some proof that people enjoyed kicking balls around as far back as 1004 B.C, when people would use animal hide to make their ball. It was played on a very small field and there were not very many rules regarding how to play it. Your sole purpose was to get the ball from here to there.
While soccer is singled out as one of my very strong passions, I find myself playing harder and smarter during school soccer. With the help of Craig Rocastle, former professional soccer player and the current coach of Seaman High School, we are undergoing one of the best seasons Seaman High has ever had. Presently after seven games we have yet to face defeat; furthermore, Rocastle pushes our team to the limits and states, “We will fly, I am proud of our season so far but there is still another level in us.” As our team enter each game with new mentalities and expectations we are; in fact, becoming a better team while also handling the task at hand and winning the game.
For many years of my life all I did was play soccer. I kicked around a soccer ball in my house, rushed out to the field to play during recess, and then went to practice after school. I was constantly playing and making new friends outside of the classroom. Some of the friends I’ve made playing youth soccer have become my best friends now.
I was so nervous of course I didn’t want to do bad and I was only a sixth grader. But I played good and started for the rest of the season. This is one of the proudest moments in my life because I practice so hard everyday to make the team. Soccer is my favorite sport and wanted this so bad, and I learned that if I practice hard, good things will
Participating in high school soccer has taught me many life lessons, of which “determination” was the most important. At Fleetwood High School, soccer is a highly respected sport. As a freshman, I competed against many talented upper classmen for a spot on the team. Being one of the youngest players trying out was intimidating, but it forced me to establish a goal for myself. I was determined to, not only make the team, but to make the varsity team.
I also want to use this opportunity to inspire young players around the world to chase their dreams and never gave up. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get to this level and I want to encourage others to work hard and never surrender to their dreams, like me I never turn over and I keep working hard and harder everyday, it does not matter if you are just starting at soccer or the sport you like, if you see that you are not good at it just keep pushing through this journey and never give up. I remember when I first started playing, I was about 4 years old and I wasn't the best player but I could move the ball, and like I said before I kept working on it and look where I am right
I began playing soccer when I was eight, which isn’t a very long time, but throughout the six years I’ve been playing, soccer has changed my life. My weekends, as well as some of my weekdays, have been devoted to soccer. Soccer has taught me how to be humble, kind and how to make sure my emotions don’t overpower my
My soccer team practiced four days a week and had two games every weekend in 2011. We worked hard for two and a half hours after school monday through thursday and rested after school on friday. We put in as much effort as we could and it was finally paying off; we had made it to the championship game at a very selective soccer tournament, the Michigan Coastal Soccerfest. We were playing one of the best team from Indiana. It was a scorching hot day where you would sweat even if you were just sitting outside.
I had played soccer for many years beforehand, so this new sport was a good start. My brother
When I started playing soccer 5 years ago I was not so confident, but playing matches boosted my self-confidence . One of the most important thing that I learnt from playing soccer is that I have to trust myself and that hard work pays off. Soccer has changed my life positively because it helped me become a better person. To sum up, Soccer empowers relationships between Nations all over the world and help build more peaceful relationships between them.
During my eleventh grade year of high school, I played soccer. First off, before you can play soccer you have to learn the language of the sport so you will understand how to play, what the coach is saying, and where you are supposed to be on the field. Before I started playing soccer, I thought it was just kicking a black and white ball into a goal. I quickly realized that you have an entire athletic language to learn in order to play soccer.
One of my best days was when my soccer team won the championship. I won several other championships ,but with other teams. This was my first season playing with this team. The major characters in this event were me, my teammates, my coaches and the parents. This event took place in a park at sanger during the summer.
Friends I had made came from the sport I played. I never ended up asking for friends to come over because to me, practice was hanging out with my friends, doing an activity with a purpose. Most of my closest and truest friends, have come from soccer. We are all bred with the same thought process of the traditional values within the sport. As a result, we have become a more welcoming people, more willing to help others, and inclusive to others.
I have been playing soccer since before I could even walk. In fact, I joined my first soccer team at the age of five. Soccer is something I have always loved and been passionate about. When I was on the co-ed recreation league teams I was one of the only girls on my team, so I had to compete with boys who doubted me and thought I was weak. I worked hard during practice and out of practice to become better and, eventually, I became more aggressive than them.
Soccer is not only about kicking the ball that most of us can do, but the soccer is complex game to play. It has some rules to obey it. However, soccer beginners can improve their skills by practicing. Soccer will improve your health, be fun play with your friends and give you chances to be successful in your life.
