Personal Narrative: My First Space Shuttle Mission

It was a hot and humid day in the town of Huntsville, Alabama and I could feel my shirt sticking to my back as we were standing outside waiting to get into space camp. After a few days of getting to know my team, Team Ganimede, we were doing a mission. A mission was like a simulation of an actual mission that nasa would do. We did two missions the first one we did was a space shuttle mission then the Orion mission. For the space shuttle mission I was in mission control as PACOM which is payload communicator. On my our way walking there I was sick and I was freezing except it was humid and hot with no wind which made me feel pretty nice actually. We had to sit in a chair and use our arms to climb a wall and attach a fake solar panel, and clark and I had to wave and signal to each other so we could actually attach it and after we finished really fast they had us climb and descend down the wall which was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. That whole experience was so cool, except a piece of the suit was stabbing my leg when I was walking to and from the place we were repairing the solar panel. After we were done we went in and had a crew swap so we got into another ship. But Clark and I had to pilot this one so we piloted it back toward Earth. After we got closer to Earth we got into the Orion module where Timmy and Walter piloted us back. As we jettisoned through the atmosphere I could feel the shuttle moving and when we had splashdown I could hear the splash and I could feel the impact of the water. Surprisingly each mission took about an hour. After each mission we all cheered and were so happy over all everything was so
