If I had to pick one person that has passed away to come back again, it would be my great grandmother Valeria Ann Shurney. She was the coolest, she was a small lady, with a short haircut, and great style. She would pick me up every weekend to hang out with her. We would go to Wendys and dip fries in our frosty EVERY Saturday, and then to church on Sunday. She was the person I was with the most, so much I had began to think that I was her age. Drinking coffee, listening to tapes, and watching AMC with her all the time. More than anyone else she made sure that I had everything that I needed and more. She was forced to drop everything and move to Ohio all the way from California due to the death of her daughter. With that she took on the great responsibility of taking care of her grandchildren. It takes a lot to drop everything to take care of someone else's life. Not to mention my mom was pregnant with me at 15 years old and my aunt was trying to make it through college. I couldn’t stomach ever having to deal with something like that and if that doesn't take a strong person then I don't know what does. The most valuable lesson my grandmother has ever taught me is telling the truth. I will never forget the first and last time I had ever lied to her. It was Christmas and I took my cousin Caylan’s gift and hid it. My grandmother asked me several times where it was, and I was so scared that I kept lying. Once the truth came out my grandmother was so angry at me that she whooped me with a wooden spoon. I didn’t think she could ever get that mad or would ever get that mad at me.
