For as long as I can remember, I have always loved horses. My mom tells me "horse" was my first word. I loved horses so much as a kid, that it 's all I talked about. I was never able to actually see a real horse until I was around ten, though, so I did everything in my power to be close to them growing up. I watched horse-themed movies, read books about them, and studied them in every way possible, that way I would be prepared when I met one. Eventually, my Grandfather set me up to take lessons at a local stable, and it has been uphill ever since. I’ve been taking lessons for nine years, and now I teach other kids how to ride! That 's easy for me to answer, horses are an escape for me. They give me purpose and peace. I can have a terrible and rotten day, go out and see my horse, and feel like the barn is another world away. My horse is my other half. He’s 24 years old and has known me most of my life. Snapper, we call him, has seen many horrid days for me, and has managed to help me through it all. He and I competed in many horse shows together, and he is, and will always be my greatest teammate. See, the bond between a horse and rider is one like no other, and any experienced equestrian will tell you the same thing. If I were to guide him in the wrong direction, it might be the end for the both of us! We have to be on the same level at all times or it could go horribly wrong, and it has before. He and I have had many stumbles and falls along the way, but in the end we trust each other enough to know It will be okay. My horse is my best friend and will always be.
All in all, horses are hands down my favorite thing about life. They are my friends, team mates, and favorite animals! The bond between my own horse and I is strong, and he is my best friend. Horses also have a way of sensing how I feel and help me to feel better! I could go on forever about how much I love them, but I think this is enough for
