Was it that severe? How was my town affected? This was something I was wondering after a really strong storm went through my town. It was I think two or three years ago in Hampton Iowa. It was fascinating and threatening at the same time..
I was riding my horse on our Ranch It was a beautiful day Birds were chirping Cows were mooing and the Nice cool breeze was blowing and everything was fine and My Dad and I were going to check the cows and check their waters and on the way I was riding and a Cotton Tail rabbit ran out of a bush and my horse got spooked and he started bucking and he bucked me off and I got right back on and started riding again. And when I got to where the cows were we have 50 and I only counted 45 and so I knew some were missing so I was Approaching the creek to see if they were down in the creek to see if they were down there and when I got down there I heard them bawling and so I rode up out of the creek and went to a different one we call Sourdough Creek
my father did all sorts of work in his early days, including butchery, but gradually opened some country stores around st arnaud and then western victoria. The move to st James was because my father was working for an auctioneer at the time and was asked to go up and sell a store in st James and lake rowan, but he bought them both himself. i heard him say it gave him quite a lift.’ australia became a federated nation in 1901 as gJ entered adulthood; ambitious, enthusiastic and prepared to work. During his time at the st James store, he also began to develop ideas about what he would do differently if he were in charge – about how he would deal with the problem of credit, about the benefits of cash sales and about guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Whenever my mom has company at her house, guests always ask about the plaque that hangs in the living room on the wall. It reads Championship Mvp, 14-0 season, Jonesboro Wildcats. My mom always smiles and says, “Ask Markus about it.” I don’t mind telling people about the championship game. It is after all one of my fondest memories playing sports.
Every year, my family goes on a snowmobile trip with my friend Aftyn’s family in Spearfish, South Dakota. About two years ago, we drove out for our trip as usual. The first day was super fun. We stopped at Four Corners, a fun hill to climb, and we did lots of racing. The second day was a little more eventful.
Growing up in the Bitterroot Valley I have been surrounded by farms and I have been friends with many people who live on farms. I love being outside and growing things and I think NMH would be foster that. Another of my criteria was a strong volleyball program and after watching a few games I can see that the team is very skilled. I was able to be part of a very successful team this year and I want to experience that again and again.
I have lived in East Oakland my whole life. To the majority of people, the mention of East Oakland evokes thoughts of violence, shootings, and gangs. I was one of the people who believed in these stereotypes, and for a particularly long time. I was one of the people who saw Oakland as a wasteland, a place with nothing to offer me, and a place I had nothing to offer to.
I burst into my household at the finishing moment on the day that concludes school. I told my “salam” Which is farsi for “hi”. I peered out my bay window like a cat trying to catch a mouse. I saw a heap of people I had never met outside, implanting plants into the ground. They were like surgeons, giving their patients heart transplants.
When we go there we went to my Aunt and Uncles house where we stayed for about a year before
Jim was a friend I used to hang out with back when I was in middle school. He was a decent companion to me, and since I was new to the school, he made me feel like I wasn 't the only one. We would play basketball and play his Nintendo at whenever I would go to his house after school. He was slightly tall, so when we played basketball, he would generally give a good old fashioned thumping to me on the court. He was taller than I was so I could not block any of his shots.
“ Watch Out!”, my pa yelled as a tree fell down. That is how most of my family’s trip was in 1855 when we traveled from Pennsylvania to Illinois for free land. Hi i’m Bill. I have one brother a mom and a dad. My mom has blond hair, short, and brown eyes.
As a young girl, around the age of 10 I lived in the Perry projects with my mother. Previously to moving there I would visit often to see my great-grandmother. When I would visit my grandmother there were not many other people that were African-American. The Commodore Perry Projects had been actually made for white people.
Walking through downtown Brownsville, Lesley saw a vast amount of silhouettes emerging from a distance. The night stood dark as well as misty while steam rose from the vents making it harder to see, however the shadows that once seemed far from reach, now rose to the top of buildings. She felt her heart rate rise besides speeding up as she approached an ally that remained unavoidable. The sound of fast cars passing by in addition to rigid brakes made her think of so many unwanted situations she recalled from movie clips. The street lights began to flicker causing the ally to grow darker, which made it seem longer to cross.
I have picked my backyard because when I was younger it was my favorite place to be at. I used to go out there and play any kind of game, but my favorite thing was playing soccer. My feelings about going out there was something amazing, some other kids would rather play video games and doing some other stuff, but all I wanted to do was to go out in my backyard and just enjoy there. Just like my love for soccer has changed even though I still love it but it is different, and i do not really play out there anymore.
Tomorrow will be a great day. All of my friends and family are coming over for our annual backyard barbecue. I’m talking about barbecued chicken, steaks, and sausage. I’ll cook up some hotdogs and hamburgers for the kids and less astute adults. My wife is in the house making salads, cooking beans, and preparing her favorite rice dish.
