Personal Narrative: My Life As A Snowboarder

All my life I wanted to be a snowboarder. When I was 12 years old my family went up north to Shanty Creek Resort during our christmas break and I got my first opportunity to snowboard. My dad got me and my older sister one lesson so we could understand the basics of snowboarding. For me personally I caught on very fast and was snowboarding all over the mountain after the lesson,but for my sister it was tougher and she got frustrated fast. While I was up north that was my first and only time snowboarding in the season 2012/2013. After the season was over and there was no more snow to be seen I realized that I had a passion to snowboard and couldn’t wait till next season to get better and better at it. All summer I waited to snowboard again and when fall came and I knew it was getting close and got very anxious to be back on the mountain. …show more content…

When I finally got my chance to snowboard I was astonished at what I could do, I was much better than what I though and had no idea how but it still wasn't enough for me and I still wanted to get even better. The next season (2016/2017) was my best season ever and I accomplished my goal of being better than all my friends. Not only did I accomplish my goal of being better than my friends but I also started making my own youtube videos of my snowboarding skills and to this day my channel has over 5k views. I can’t wait to see what this upcoming season has for me and my new goal is to get some type of sponsorship or partnership with a snowboarding company or brand and I have no doubt that I won't be able to achieve
