Late 2005 I was assigned to 2-35 Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI. I re-enlisted into the Army after almost a three year break in service. On my previous enlistment, I served in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment from the 82nd Airborne Division. All the new soldiers to include myself were standing in formation waiting on the Battalion Command Sergeant Major (CSM) to speak to us. I was the only Private First Class with a Combat Infantryman Badge, an Expert Infantryman Badge, and a combat deployment to Afghanistan.
Last year I played basketball for the Bath team and Red Cedar team. In my last game I had 24 points, over 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks. After the game the opposing coach came up to me and asked if I wanted to join an AAU team and at the time I didn’t know what that was. He gave me his number and I learned that AAU was a league for really good basketball players.
My team played games up to two times a week and then four to eight games on the weekend, not to mention occasional practices in between as
Mark Smith the author of “The Road to Winter” displays that affliction brings out the very finest and least in people. The story is centred the main character Finn. He survived a deadly virus that wiped out his entire town and he has to adapt to a life by himself. Finn lost his family and friends and had to survive on his own. He learnt to kill animals, defend himself and a whole lot more.
The pinnacle experience of my life so far occurred at the end of my junior year. I stood onstage and held my breath as I reveled in the surrealness of the moment. For everyone else on stage, their dreams since freshman year were coming true. However, I had not dared dream of such an event. My predecessor attached the pin to my blazer and just like that, it was official.
The transition from childhood to adulthood occurs when an individual is able to recognize the impact he or she can leave upon their community, gaining life skills doing so. An accomplishment that marked my transition from childhood to adulthood, would be best demonstrated by the process and completion of a leadership responsibility when I performed my Eagle Scout Project. I joined the scouting program when I was very young, and have been very active since ever. Becoming an Eagle Scout has many challenges that a young Boy Scout must undertake, including the completion of a community-based project, which is an important step in obtaining this notable rank. The Eagle Scout Project is designed for the scout to learn different leadership responsibilities.
The most inspiring story in my life had to be the movie Miracle on Ice. It 's about a 1980 USA hockey team that heads to the Olympic to win the gold. Around this time the United States were going through some tough times with Russia. The hockey team was led by coach Herb Brooks and his assistant coach Craig Patrick. Herb Brooks is a strange guy that knew the game very well.
Do you know what an American Ninja Warrior is? It is the tittle someone gets if they complete the world’s toughest obstacle course. Humankind has landed people on the moon, we have flown across the ocean in an airplane, but no one has yet to become the first American Ninja Warrior. Brian Arnold is the only American ever to beat stage 3 of Mt. Midoriyama, however he did not win the million dollars you would normally win if beating stage 3, because he did not complete it during the regular season, he completed it in the competition, Team USA vs The World, to tie the USA with Team Europe. Brian Arnold has grit.
Making it to the national high school rodeo finals is something I will never forget. Nationals is the biggest youth rodeo in the world and is made up of over 1,500 contestants. Each contestant competes in 2 rounds and possibly a short round depending on how well they do. Making nationals had always been a dream of mine and last year I achieved that. I made it in the cutting horse division and to do
Awsam Bouabid There I was out in the cold, in the middle of January, at 6:00 AM. I had put my skis in the bus and was waiting for Mr. Mud to get on the bus and do a roll call. It was the third race of the season, but it would be my first time actually racing. Once, Mr. Mud was done, we left Simsbury High School, and headed to some far off place to ski.
I also live in Ohio and it seems as if every winter have a good amount of snow accumulations occurs with subzero temperatures. If power outages were to happen, many people will be expose to deathly cold temperatures. Fortunately, there has not been a state of emergency advisory in Franklin for as long as I can remember. If a snow emergency were to happen, need to have an alternative plan such as shelter set up at the local churches and the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). Extra supplies like blankets, clothing, baby formula and food needs to be available.
One activity that has defiantly created a change in my life is ice hockey. I’ve been playing hockey since I was seven years old. I know that playing hockey has changed my life is because it’s taught me time management, responsibility, discipline, and physical conditioning. One way that hockey has changed my life is it’s made me manage my time better. Every week and weekend I usually have practice on Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Winter came home from school and noticed that her mom got fired from her job. Her mom was a post office that threw away bags of mail and she was to tired and lazy to sort them. Jante decided to stay home and just watch TV. Winter mother was tired of being a parent, so she ignores Winter if she ever needed something and Winter was so tired of what was going on lately. Winter decided to move out and go somewhere far away from her house as soon as possible, so she collected some money that she has been saving and then went to the bus station to get a ticket to Oklahoma.
This slope looked much bigger to me now, though there wasn’t much slant in it and it couldn’t have been longer than 300 feet. The intermediate hill was to the left of the bunny slope and the advanced slope was to the left of that one. By the slopes was a cafe, some picnic tables, and a large speaker that blasted upbeat music all day long. No one told us any rules for skiing before we went out onto the slope and since I hadn’t skied before I didn’t know a thing. Us and the Cranes both started out on that small slope but since their family and Dad had skied before they didn’t stay there for too long.
Now I practice four hours a day but only on week days. In conclusion, to reach your goals, you have to set goals and meet them by practicing hard. The only reason I became better than my friends is because I practiced very hard everyday but just because you meet your goals, that doesn’t mean that you quit practicing and quit trying to become the best because if you do then all the hard work was for
