2When I think of my primary caregiver, I automatically think of my mother. When I look back at my childhood, both of my parents did a wonderful job at raising me but as most people do, I think of my mother as being the primary caregiver. 2My mother had a very abnormal childhood. She lost her mother at a very young age and was introduced to a new family a couple of years after her mom passed away and it was an adjustment for her. She and her younger sister didn’t get a long with their new stepmom very well so growing up was hard. My mother also had scoliosis when she was in middle school so she could have a normal life at school either. Her school experience was especially hard because she moved around a lot. She always said to have too and to make sure that you balance the two. You can always have fun while being safe is something that she always said. While I was growing up, she always let me do almost anything that I wanted to do as long as it was in the boundaries of acceptability. 2Now that I am in college, she wants me to have a certain level of responsibility but also focus on my studies. She told me that she wished she didn’t have to work so much in college so that she could focus more on school. She told me that I should work but not work too much so that I can still have time to study. I had to pay for my own car so that I could have transportation and I have to pay for other expenses associated with the car. However, she pays for things like my phone bill, health insurance and other life expense. She does this so I don’t feel inclined to work more. 2I think my mom is my primary caregiver because she has taught me how to be very responsible with my time and money. Looking back at my childhood, I don’t know what I would have done without
