What a Day Once upon a time I was going to Cedar point. It was going to be awesome! I mean I’m with my parents and my older siblings going to a huge theme park. Not! Sorry guys this isn’t a fairy tale.
One night, during the cold winter, I walked along the side walk to reach the local store down the block. As I walked out, before I can realize it, I was dropping down onto the concrete while bullets swiftly passed me. I then began to run back home, but I wanted to keep running. Away from Chicago, away from the west side. Growing up in Chicago, it was easy to assume that there was nothing different beyond the blocks of my streets.
When my favorite basketball team, the Boston Celtics, played in their season opening game on October 17th, I would not have dreamt that I would be leaving the room in tears after having flashbacks of the biggest setback in my lifetime. Celtics player Gordon Hayward suffered a serious leg injury early in the game. While many people were disappointed that one of the Celtics’ best players was injured, I sympathized for Gordon because I truly understood what he was going through. The biggest setback of my life came on September 1, 2015, just before my sophomore year of high school.
Last Sunday, I went on the fieldtrip to Oakland to gain a view of the gentrification reality there. Initially my friends were all amazed why I would go there since they had thought there was a dangerous place to visit. Prior to the trip, my impression about Oakland is a city with a longer history than those in south bay, since I noticed there was a Chinatown which was a product of the immigration wave happened centuries ago, and those Cantonese immigrants called Oakland “二埠” (the second port besides San Francisco). This year during college summer break, my friends planned a trip to Dallas, TX to visit the place, where former US President “John F Kennedy was assassinated. President Kennedy was shot dead on November 22,1963 by Lee Harvey, Oswald. Dallas is a three-hour long drive from Houston, TX. All of us were excited for this trip. The trip was a success as for all of us it was a learning experience, as we visited the historical landmark of US history which has influenced us all.
Running up and down the wooden stairs, so that I can pack for my trip to Miami. As I a throwing my clothes into the pink leopard suitcase, I just sniff baked bacon from the kitchen. I knew mama was cooking breakfast before I leave for Miami and therefore I had to put something in my belly before I took off. I am really excited to go Miami this summer because it is the most southerly city in the United States. Miami is a memorable trip to me because of South Beach, the varied of restaurants and the Everglades.
A trip to Racine, WI. Each time I got lost in the city, I said "I don 't want to go to Wisconsin. By this meant "I don 't want to get lost. " I had no idea, God would open a way for me to really experience going to Wisconsin and be hosted by an incredible person. Moving to Cleveland was one of the worst days of my life. My mom told us to pack our bags because we were moving to one of the best and most beautiful places in Ohio. I was an idiot and thought Ohio would be just like The Woodlands. I thought they would have winning teams, lots of trees, and comfy neighborhoods with parks, but it was exactly the opposite.

The city of Las Vegas is one of the intercontinental entertainment centers with millions of visitors yearly, and place for the diverse immigrants seek various levels of careers. The diverse population differed by cultural belief, faith, and values, including language and lifestyle. We are exposed to many non-English speaking patients and families for health care delivery within the hospital as well as communitywide. Recently one of my new grads had been assigned to a twenty-nine-year-old young female with postoperative complicated abdominal surgery which was hospitalized for more than five weeks. The language barrier is so common and includes the nurses are expected to refrain from arguing, interrupting, or judging.
(r BULLS GAME) I went to Chicago for my brothers birthday, On our last full day there, we saw there was a Bulls game in town. We were thinking about going in then we decided, We went to it and got some great seats a couple rows behind the bench. We went to the United Center where the Bulls and Blackhawks play. I thought it was so (m awesome) because we were right behind the players.
Las Vegas is considered the city of sin and believe me there is plenty of sin going around. It is a place filled with laughter, cries, tragedy, and loss. I have been living in Las Vegas my entire life minus a few years where I lived in Reno, Nevada and Monroe, Louisiana as well. My mother was the light of my life. We shared laughs together that were occasionally accompanied by tears.
I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, I live with my Mom, Dad, and my younger sister Danielle or Dani for short, I am 3 years older then her. I had a Golden Retriever named Jake, he died when I was in 3rd grade he was almost 10 years old. We occasionally visit Houghton, Michigan to see my family on my Mom's side, and go to Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin to see my dads side. Every Thanksgiving we go to Wisconsin to my cousin's farm and ride four wheelers. Dani and I are the youngest on each side of the family.
I have already told you the story of when my grandmother passed away, but I haven’t told you about her decision to live in this country. My mother at the time was very young, only one and a half, when my grandmother decided come to journey across the border into America. My grandfather had a working visa, and used it to go to America for months at a time, leaving his family of eleven behind. His jobs mostly consisted of picking cotton, and picking many different fruits and vegetables. Although it was very hard work for my grandfather, it was a lot more money than working anywhere in mexico.
After weeks of torturous homework, exams and assignments, high school was finally over! Summer holidays here I come! My family got plane tickets to Miami Florida. The land of beaches, sun and fun. We are heading to the airport in three hours.
