Since the day I was born I have always looked up to my Uncle Kinnie, and I always will. He was someone a lot of people looked up to and wish they knew and I was very blessed to get to call him my Uncle. He grew up in a religious home, in Texas, with his two other brothers. When he was old enough he got into the movie industry and moved out to Los Angeles. He looked just like a famous actor named Chuck Norris and became a stunt double for this actor. During this time his faith slowly faded because of his life style. During these years he meet my aunt and married and now she has two wonderful kids. Almost three years ago he was diagnosed with cancer. Lung cancer that went to his lymph nodes then eventually made its way to the brain. In totally he had three brain tumors. Kinnie moved to Dallas to be closer to the doctors that could treat him. He had radiation 3 times a week for two hours straight and for those two he preached to his nurses. Eventually the radiation stopped working and they tried chemotherapy. He bonded with all the people in his hospital group and told stories from the bible and his own. Kinnie shared his own personal stories on how God was working in his life. Sheri, West, and Lacey were all very angry with God for giving him these diseases. He told us all that he believed that God had blessed him cancer to preach to those who didn’t know the Lord. Before every surgery to try to cut out his tumors him and his surgeon would pray for everyone else who had to go through this. While I was visiting him last year, his faith radiated off him, you could just tell that the Lord was walking with Kinnie everyday. His strength is something I will always look up to! While in Texas we got a call that his cancer was back and we all prayed for a long amount of
