Personal Narrative: My Brother

There was a disabled child named Doodle that was intentionally killed by his own Brother. Brother spent a lot of his own time trying to get his special brother normal so he wouldn’t get made fun of. He also wanted a normal brother that could do brother things and be able to spent time with him, and he was also embarrassed to have him as a brother. Brother was at fault for Doodle’s death because he was embarrassed that he didn’t have a normal brother. Brother spent a lot of his time trying to help Doodle learn how to be normal and learn how to walk. He was trying to teach Doodle how to walk so he could be like everyone else and so he could have a normal brother. “Shut up. I’m not going to hurt you. I’m going to teach you how to walk.”(Hurst 3). Brother also had thoughts of killing his own brother because he couldn’t do anything. He was impatient and wanted to teach Doodle how to walk so he could be a normal brother. He kept trying to help him and wanted him to be normal so the kids at school wouldn’t make fun of him. Also he wanted a brother to be normal so he could do things with him like hang out with him. Brother heard Doodle yell out for him but he did not do anything and just kept running in the storm. I heard Doodle fall behind, cry out, “Brother, Brother, don’t leave me! Don’t leave me!” (Hurst 6). Brother just left Doodle behind when he fell when the storm was coming. Brother totally heard Doodle scream for him to help him. But brother just kept going not helping Doodle, Brother was embarrassed that he couldn’t run or walk and intentionally left him behind.
