The reservoir was definitely the main draw to the parks as we saw several fishermen on boats. As Dave and I drove past the lake we notice multiple buyees scattered amongst the lake, she (we totally forgot her name) said they move the buyees several times throughout the season for no wake zones.
“Wade in the water. Wade in the water, children. Wade in the water. God’s going to trouble the water,” the slaves sang as they did their daily work. Link
What a Day Once upon a time I was going to Cedar point. It was going to be awesome! I mean I’m with my parents and my older siblings going to a huge theme park. Not! Sorry guys this isn’t a fairy tale.
The SheiKra holds the title of the tallest roller coaster in Florida, which stands at 200ft tall. It slowly crawls up and gets to the top where you can see the whole park and then drops rapidly into ups, downs, side to sides, it submerges and goes into loops. I remember seeing my mom come out from the entrance of the ride, with her black shirt drenched in water. My mom talked with my cousin about how much fun and how high the SheiKra was. Then, she glanced at me and made an uneasy facial expression.
So we went to the top of the tower in the start of the park, even though it was really high up it was really awesome. I felt like an eagle up high, I could see everything. Later we jumped on a swinging boat, the floor creaked really loud. It felt like the ship would sink. “THIS RIDE IS PRETTY DULL!”
Water & Blood When Auntie invited Brook, Mom and me to go with her and Trent to Noah's Ark Water Park, Dad demanded to know why he wasn’t invited. Brook said, “It’s, like, a girl’s thing,” and Dad responded, “Trent’s not a girl.” So here we all are, Dad driving Trent, Auntie, Mom, Brook and me up the Interstate Five. It’s not even four a.m., so we’re one of the only cars on the road.
Hard Boiled It was midnight. There was a silent sound coming from a corner in the ally way. I was a was detective on a case. I cant tell you what i was doing
Everything was done and loaded into the car and our trip to Concord! After a long drive, we finally made it to the city of Concord. We saw many children and adults of all ages walking and driving toward Waterworld. At the entrance parking lot, we saw many unique, fun waterslides. The waterslides had a mixture of drops and funnels.
It was a hot and sunny day when I walked into the gym. When I saw about twenty players warming up for practice tonight. Then coach officially announce our position. My mind was questioning when I heard i was going to be a point guard this year. So I asked him after practice, he said: “I put you where you need to be and it will be really powerful against other teams this year.”
On September 8, 2008 I arrived to the hospital at six o 'clock in the morning to get induced to have my first daughter due to a blood clot I had in my leg. The nurses first told me to change into a gown. Shortly after they hooked me up to the monitors to hear the baby moving all around. Also to track her cute little heartbeat. Another one was to monitor my contraction and watch them on the screen.
In 2014 my family got our first pet that wasn’t a fish. A little turtle which we named Drowny, as a joke. He was dark green with a 2-inch shell that was spotted with light green dots. His eyes were huge on his giant head. Our dad saw him on the golf course earlier that day, and he scooped him up into a Gatorade bottle with water.
Imagine you are on the tropical island of San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the Caribbean. There is powdery soft golden sand where the warm jewel-colored ocean water meets the shoreline. As the waves come crashing in, you will find the seagulls taking off for flight. Off in the near distance the feathery palm trees sway in the wind, as if they are synched in motion to a song. The air is full of a fresh salty aroma and your skin feels sticky from the suns heat beaming down on you in all her glory.
I was pulled underwater by the strong current, holding my breathe for as long as I could while I waited for the right time to swim back to the surface. My board kept me aware of where I was because I was completely disoriented by the wave that had just hit me. I was fearing for my life, hoping that one of my friends who I was surfing with would come and help me back up. I was struggling to not be sucked deeper by the oceans current and was trying to get back to the surface. Going through my head was the idea that one of my friends would come help me, but they were too far away from me to help.
In the hydrosphere, all dissolved down in the groundwater, was me; a carbon molecule. For hundreds of years, I have been there, mixed with the water below, until I precipitated out. I ended up at Havasu Falls in travertine. Usually, travertine consists of deposited minerals from mineral springs, and my journey has taken me to combine with other carbon molecules joined in a form of limestone. I have been soon on my way into a new destination to the limestone lithosphere.
I have never really liked roller coasters. Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that life is very much like one. The first and only time I rode a roller coaster, I was ten years old and anxiously excited. I lack the precaution to remove my glasses before boarding a silly mistake, especially considering the beast in question is called “The Corkscrew,” a monstrous structure that, as the name indicates, loops up, down and upside-down in a giant corkscrew. I am calm while boarding and as the tangle of gears beneath us clicks and groans.
