We were talking about mostly tractors and football. I told him what position I played and he told me what he played also. After a while of getting the rice from the combine in the rice cart my cousin asked me if I wanted to try and drive the rice cart. I was surprised that he asked,"Do you want to drive. "

At first glance, Ralph is a central character who starts and completes William Golding novel The Lord of the Flies. From the onset of the novel, he is described as a “fair boy” with an “attractive appearance” (p7, 29). The author compares his stature as that of a boxer, “as far as width and heaviness of shoulders went, but there was a mildness about his mouth and eyes that proclaimed no devil” (p11). He has the physique and presence of a typical leader – strong but with a kind heart that makes him trustworthy.
The relationships that we have and form with others have a strong and profound impact on our sense of self and identity. In Lord Of The Flies, the protagonist Ralph’s sense of self is positively shaped by 3 important relationships: his friendship with Piggy, his rivalry with Jack, and his connection with Simon. These relationships help Ralph navigate his true role as a “leader” and Lord Of The Flies encompasses how the people we surround ourselves with have a tremendous impact on our identities and the choices we make in difficult circumstances. Throughout Ralph’s journey of self-discovery, the immense impact that others can have on our identities is revealed. The friendship between Ralph and Piggy plays a pivotal role in shaping his sense
I’ll be the first to admit, that I have always wondered what Flurry does at night. Because, every early morning I look outside she doesn’t look the same. There is no doubt, that Flurry is about 6 feet tall and is very energetic. By the way, her bottom is 3 feet round, the middle is 2 feet round, and the top snowball is 1-foot round. Specifically, I dressed Flurry with a teal scarf around her neck, chocolate chip eyes and an orange carrot on her head.
As society evolves the concept of leadership is changing and becoming less of the person who is most qualified and more of the person who has the popular vote and the most followers. As we see in the novel Lord of the Flies there are two different types of people. You have Piggy, who has every qualification to be a leader such as wit, knowledge, and clear thinking but lacks confidence. On the other side of the spectrum there is Ralph who is voted by all of the children to be the leader because he has one thing that appeals to many that a leader must possess; the ability to publically speak and good looks. A leader needs to be both.
In my arms, my young daughter took her last breath. Her once-strong, -lively body was now as frail as a wilted flower. And her eyes—her black, playful eyes—were peacefully closed, never again to open. I listened hopelessly to the women’s song of mourning, sung in our native Cherokee tongue. At my side, my wife, Yellow Blossom’s, voice rang out smoothly and softly, but intermittently interrupted by brief sobs.
The Noise On the night of Halloween all of the myths and legends of the supernatural come true. And these are not just children dressed up. These supernatural beings are real. I am going to tell you the story of my encounter with one of these beings.
Man, what a savage. Ralph, a true leader but also a great hunter. The real question is, which one is he?! Civilized or savage? Before I get into depth with this, here are some things you need to know.
Dan pulled up his automatic rifle as the coyote was standing there, clueless of what was going to happen. “You almost done,” yelled woody. The coyote ran into the thick brush and was no longer in range. “What is wrong with you, did you not see the coyote standing there!” Said Dan.
This time I ran to the door to catch what was making that noise, and I hid next to the door. There was a light moving around my front door in circles, like someone had a flashlight, moving it around. I stood sideways at the door, determined to catch whatever was there. When I stood sideways at the door to catch what was in the bushes, I looked through the window on the door -and I saw a whole family.

A human sized toy castle. I dashed around the store looking for any pillows and blankets to put in it. As I was fixing up my “room” i heard a sound. It sounded like something was calling my name. “Jennyyyyy, Jennyyy” it would say in a faint voice.
and I totally forgot that I was about to risk both of our lives and drive for the first time. Mr. Thelen, I soon learned was his name, was probably as nice as they come. He was somewhat boisterous and could probably talk to anyone. I found out he’s a teacher at the junior high school, and taught social studies. He began to quiz me on all things car and driving related.
