Personal Narrative: Sandra Laferrara Davis

Sandra is my best friend. Always has been, always will be. Her hole name is Sandra Lynn LaFerrara Davis. She is an accountant, and I even let her do my taxes very year. We met in Mrs. Batson’s 6th grade class right hear at Greenbrier. The year was 1976. We had other friends we hung around with, but none so close as the too of us. Sandra is real sassy redhead and always speaks her mind. Because of that some people might avoid her company, but I love hanging out with her. If she sasses me, I sass back. We love to do so many things together. When we were younger we liked to talk about boys,listen to our cool stereos and our 8 track tapes, and watch shows like Gilligan’s Island and The Brady Bunch. I’m sure most friends would say they are always there for each other, and they have each other’s back. They might talk about things they have in common. I can think of many friends both real and fictional who have stood the test of time. David and Jonathan in the Old Testament were examples of best friends. Also, the Bible states that Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Sometimes friends are brothers (or sisters) such as Homer and Harold Figg, or Katniss and Prim Everdeen. And it doesn’t always have to be two friends. Harry, Hermione, and Ron are three friends who stuck together in the Harry Potter books. The three musketeers - Athos, Porthos, and Aremus - were big buddies. And it also doesn’t always have to be humans. Travis Coates and Old Yeller had a friendship that cannot be matched. A true friend would lay down his life for you, and that is what Old Yeller did for Travis. So as you can see, all friends have certain qualities in common - they have each other’s back, stick it out to the bitter end, and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up on one
