My partner is Cathryn Cusano, she has lived in Easton, Pennsylvania throughout her entire life. Cathryn has a love for softball and has played ever since she was a little girl. During Cathryn’s senior year of high school she had multiple offers to play softball for elite colleges in the area. She started out having an amazing season, the team was also thriving which eventually resulted in them making it to the playoffs. It was the first round of playoffs and Cathryn was on first base, one of her teammates was up to bat.
My personal memoir was written from the perspective of Anna Louw. I chose the scene in which she took Toby to the party. I decided on this excerpt from the book due to the fact that this was the first day that Anna had ever met Toby. I showed her little knowledge of who Toby was by having her call him Mr. Hood until she had to introduce him to someone else. I wanted to express her feelings of the party and to show her worries of bringing Toby, a man she had just met, to a party with many races of people.

As a handicapper general of Sisler High School, it is my duty to ensure everyone in this school is equal. No student is higher than the other. For example, it is my job to make sure Kamryn Mendoza is equal to the rest of her peers. I have to eliminate her off her special advantages and help her with her weaknesses. Kamryn is musically talented.
Those who take the time to fully examine the Holocaust, and its exemplary survivors deal with the unsettling knowledge that those before them over looked. Between the years of 1933 to 1947, the holocaust prospered through many countries in Europe, including the proximity of one survivor’s homeland, Poland. Alicia: My Story by Alicia Appleman-Jurman is historically famous for it’s shocking relevance throughout its background. It has also been infamous for its brutal unvarnished truth by well-known book reviews, but overall it’s cultural impact on the world has shown it is a lesson that should be known by all.
People know that Stargirl is different, Stargirl teaches me that being myself is perfect. She wears different clothes, she meditates, she does what makes her content and from my knowledge teenagers don’t usually do those things. In a way I am a Stargirl, I don’t do all the things that Stargirl does, because I am different in my own way. When Stargirl came into the cafeteria, she was different and stood out.

Imagine moving across the continent to go to school. Jessica Stupar, an international student from Sprucegrove, Alberta, Canada, chose to come to America to pursue her dream of becoming a collegiate softball player. Despite the few differences between the United States and Canada, Stupar has seem to come in contact with several needs for clarification when it comes to stereotypes. Stupar’s life-long dream is to play softball in college and North Central Missouri College has made that a possibility for her. It seems crazy to think that someone from Canada would come to Trenton, Missouri.

The rumbling of thunder rent the hushed peace in the study room of Zeus's mansion. Gillian stood stiffly in front of the painting of a dark creek and gloomy sky; a man who was supposedly breaking in to steal, examined the painting with great interest beside her. Gillian tightened her jaws. She stared at the painting with growing weariness.
As the final bell rings everyone scatters out of their classrooms and runs to where they are picked up at the end of the day. For me that spot was the bus stop. When I come to the loop I find myself a shady spot and take a seat with my back resting on a metal beam. I take a look at my phone, like everyone in society these days, and wait for my bus to arrive. Soon my friends come to join me and we laughed and joked about how the day went and which teacher gave the most homework or what couple ended it and made a big scene in the hallway.
Little Sisters Club Before kindergarten I was part of a neighborhood play group, complete with matching red baseball caps with our club name “The Little Sisters Club” embroidered across the front. We all had different family sizes, but what we all had in common was that we were the youngest of the bunch. We all looked at our siblings with admiration of their age and seeming independence, and simultaneous abhorrence for our bossy tormentors. We put up with wet willies, loogies hung over our faces, secret languages and constantly being excluded by signs that read; ‘NO GIRLS ALLOWED’.

“Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta. My passion is learning about life through travelling and exploring new things. It excites me when I visit new places, learn about different cultures, and see other people live a life that is different from mine. I just love to travel because it makes me realize that the world is so beautiful and there is so much to admire and treasure.
