Personal Narrative: The Day Of Basketball

Brailey Snyder It was the day of basketball tryouts for AYBA, and the tryouts were in the front gym at St.Amant middle school. Two weeks after basketball tryouts I had my first practice. I met my coaches their names were coach Daniel and coach Jake. I also met my teammates their names were Bailey, Braille, Drew, Taylor, Emma, Kristen, Anglesey, and Makayla. After, the weekend of tryouts I went home from my dad’s house. That day I went to Walmart and bought a new basketball. I already had a basketball goal from my friend Dustin but he moved, and he lived across the street from me. Two weeks later, I went back to my dad’s house, and my dad and I went to the park to practice basketball. I told my dad that we needed to practice everyday I am at his house. My dad helped me get better at playing basketball, so by the next practice I would be better at blocking and making free throws. All the help from my dad helped our team win the first game.

I am glad that I am doing basketball. I think that I am going to the basketball team at school in eighth grade and my four years of high school. My feeling for doing basketball was great.
