My class and I are going on a field trip to a Pittsburgh Steelers game on a bus especially made for kids. The name of the bus is “The Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Bus Only”. It has a food bar, so when you get hungry, you can eat chicken and pizza. If you get bored, it even has reclining seats so you can relax. For entertainment you can play playstation 4 and the games you can play are NBA 2K17 and Madden 17.
Another day at Fenway. The Boston Red Sox are trailing the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 and Mookie Betts (The Red Sox Right Fielder) comes to the bat for the first time tonight due to a sore arm. Bronson Arroyo (Reds Pitcher) throws a wicked curveball that is almost impossible to hit. But Mookie knew that this ball was long gone. Arroyo thought he was gonna strike out Mookie
G is for Giants According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Giants “The San Francisco Giants are an American professional baseball franchise based in San Francisco, California. Originally known as the New York Gothams, the team moved to San Francisco in 1958. ” If you still don 't understand who the Giants are, they are a MLB team.
This weekend we get to watch a Detroit Lions game! We’re driving down to the West branch to spend some time with our friends. I can’t wait it’s going to be so much fun! My family traveled down near West Branch where we stayed for the weekend with our friends, Brent, Ronda, and their son Brendan.
U.S. Army veteran Jessica Higgins of Merrimack was 22 when she got married. She had just returned home from a deployment to Iraq, and was having a difficult time transitioning. “I got married quickly because I thought that it would solve all of my problems when, in fact, it ended up creating many more,” she said. Her husband became abusive, and it took the birth of her daughter for Higgins to gather the strength to leave. With her three-week-old daughter in tow, Emma, she left California and moved back home to New Hampshire six years ago to create a new life.
“Unfortunately, Jack, there will not be many opportunities for you this year.” Seconds after being told I had made the varsity baseball team, I did not expect my coach to so bluntly tell me I would be spending more time watching the game than playing it. Our state ranked team had a pitching staff full of Division 1 commitments and future MLB draft picks, and I was being told I did not measure up. The bench became my best friend.
It was a 40 degree night , chilly for Dallas , where the Super Bowl party was being hosted on the 50 yard line of AT@T stadium’s Football field. The Cowboys had just finished beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl an hour ago and they came home to celebrate and I was the sweepstakes winner so I got to host any 4 NFL players at the party. Just as I put the table on the field, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott walked out onto the field wearing Super Bowl rings.
When we first moved here my mom went to one of the high school football games and was amazed by the spirit of the fans. She then found out that it was because the football team had won the last two games and they are supposed to be a losing team. Also at this time my brothers and I had been telling my mom for years she needed to quit smoking which she had been doing since she was 13. So, we designed a contract. The contract stated that if the Wabash High School football team had a winning season meaning they had to win 5 games that my mother had to quit smoking.
One Sunday night in October 2015 my dad went to a Packer game with a friend from work. On his way to the game my dad and his friend stopped at a party bus. His friend knew the guys that had the party bus so they stayed for a couple of drinks. My dad has always told me never to set your drink down because someone could put something in it. Well he should have taken his own advice because, he set his drink down for a bit then, when he went to pick his cup back up he ended up picking up a different cup that possibly had drugs in it.
“Darn” I said to myself as I slowly jogged out to my spot in left field, swatting gnats and mosquitoes as I went. “If only he’d give me a chance!” I thought, “I know I can play catcher at the same level as anyone out here!” But there I was, warming up in the outfield with the center-fielder and hoping, just hoping, I’d get some action. “At least it’s a really nice evening for a game!”
This picture was taken in Tampa, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium. I was here with my family watching the Outback Bowl on January 1st, 2016 where the Tennessee Volunteers and the Northwestern Wildcats were playing. My brother and I got the tickets from our parents for Christmas, we were very excited because we had never been to a college or NFL football game before. Our parents decided to get us these tickets since my brother played football for school and really enjoyed it. On December 30th, 2015 they had pep rally on Clearwater Beach where they had the school bands perform and they introduced the players.
In the past, the face of baseball was scattered but pretty easy to find. We’ll start this in the ‘90s—because that’s when I was born, so yes I’m a millennial and like the bat-flip—but I’ll talk about that later. Let’s start in the ‘90s where baseball was quote, unquote reborn with Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire hitting a homerun every other time they stepped to the plate.
Country Concert or Drunk Fest It was the summer of 2012 and I was going to go see Jason Aldean, featuring Thompson Square and Chris Youngs, at the state fair with Brooke, my best friend at the time. The concert was fantastic, although it did have its dreadful moments, such as the intoxicated people who were standing around us that weren’t paying attention to their surroundings. The concert wasn’t exactly how I expected it. I didn’t ever imagine being surrounded by drunk people for a few hours or having to watch were I walk
People who know me have often called me eccentric. Although one might think this description is not a compliment, to me, “eccentric” is a word that reflects perfectly on my passion for baseball. Through baseball, I have made many friends in all gender, ages, and backgrounds. My passion for baseball has also opened up doors to new learning opportunities. I worked as a three-weeks summer intern at Sports Marketing Laboratory Inc. Throughout the internship, I completed three tasks; made a mock marketing presentation using numerical data that I obtained from Google Analytics, participated in operation of online baseball broadcasting service called “Pa League TV”, and made an hour presentation based on the material called “The Future of Sports
The first time on a football field and i was very hyped about it cause i got to play and the coach put me as starter because i was the biggest one on the field. The very first play we got sacked but are left lineman didn't stop the ball they got pushed over and we got sacked. The ball was on the 25 yard line and we were trying to get to the fifteen yard line to get the first down and we were short 10 yards but we could still get cause if we work hard you play hard.
