The adorable lazy Jim Halpert represents the classic representation of the humorous, remote salesperson who doesn't take his work too seriously. The overly eager and awkward assistant regional manager Dwight Schrute is a prime example of the hardworking but awkward coworker who puts work above all else. These individuals allow the show to parody typical workplace interactions and behaviors by acting as exaggerated versions of real-life office personas. Additionally, "The Office" addresses gender stereotypes, especially in the way Pam Beesly and other female characters are shown. At first, Pam fits into the description of the calm, quiet receptionist who often gets left in the middle of office activities.
However, the one thing that stood out the most was her beautiful welcoming spirit and her passion for serving others. During the interviewing while she goes on to talk more about her duties as a manager, of the office of CSI, she had a beautiful smile on her face. She sees her staff not as a team but as a family, and she said, “She is more than happy to help them with anything because she want nothing but for them to succeed in whatever they are doing.” She is very hands-on in the office she does not dictate instead she focuses more on helping her staff and direct in the right way to get their task done. Everyone seems to enjoy her company and love being around her, they do not seem to hesitate on asking her any questions regarding any officer matters, they really function as a family at the
It was the last inning in our all-star game, and we were losing 10 to 8. Our team had 2 outs and we couldn’t get the third. Our pitcher was doing bad, throwing all balls, while all of us in the field were tired, ready to fall asleep at any moment. There goes another walk. They score again.
My favorite show of all time that I love watching is Parks and Recreation. Two of my favorite characters in the show are Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope due to the dynamic and relationship they have between each other. They both have very heavy involvement in the show and give a lot of comic relief through what they have to experience while working in the parks department. Ron Swanson is a director in the parks department that loves the outdoors, hates the government, and has a very stubborn, distinct way of looking at life. Meanwhile, Leslie Knope is a deputy director who is a very prideful, government loving, determined person that always has a positive attitude.
Michael Scott is the Regional Manager for the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. You do not have to watch “The Office” very long to realize that he is lacking the
I walk into my room on the first day of summer, I look at my cork board and see a photo of Dexter. Dexter was my boyfriend until a fatal crash two years ago. And it was all Grayson 's fault. I know that sounds rude but it is true. But the worst part is about Dex being dead.
Friday night lights is something that you can not overrate. It’s the thing that keeps you going, and the night that wakes you up every single morning. When I was a little kid, friday night football was something that I was almost scared to be a part of. I was just a small little kid, and i’d see all of our football players walking to the shed.
Goal Number One I didn’t know it yet, but the way I viewed the game of lacrosse was about to change drastically. It was a normal day for me. I was in eighth grade, and I was getting ready for school.
My five signature themes were: Achiever- As an Achiever, “No matter how much you may feel you deserve a day of rest, if the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, you will feel dissatisfied.†Sometimes people call me an overachiever, but that is how I feel is my normal. Harmony- I do not like when people argue because I feel there is a better way for everyone to get along. Once everyone is in harmony, life is much smoother. Input-
Lani: I was helping for someone’s project for COMM 245; I was in the video lab, in the studio. I was on campus and decided to contact everyone I knew who comes to the school. I remember I sent out a snap saying guys I think there is a shooting, be careful and then I started sending out individual texts to people making sure they were okay, like hey are you good? Stay out of an area.
It happened on June 11, 2015. My lacrosse team won our regional quarter final game the previous day—I scored my personal best of five goals and was named Player of the Game. As a reward for the win, my coach gave us a three hour practice the next day that was strictly conditioning—leaving the seniors 30 minutes to go home, shower, change, and drive to our Senior Dinner at Bowdoin College. I raced home from practice, my sweat sticking to the car leather seats, music blasting, and the wind in my hair. I had the future on my mind: playoffs, graduation, summer, and college.
The two traits that have consistently separated me from most people my age is my work ethic and my focus. My work ethic mainly shows up in sports, and business as those were more of a focus for me than school. Growing up I had a love for basketball, I was not the tallest, strongest, or most athletic kid on the court ever. But I had more heart, and desire than anyone on that court. It showed in my high school career.
At the beginning of my sophomore year, August 2015, I fractured my left ankle. My second season of cross country had just begun. The whole team had a Saturday practice at Atlanta Memorial Park. We came to this park for a time trial. Not being able to run was going to be a challenge for me.
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
Religion is a touchy topic to debate and every time it is brought up in conversation, they become more attentive, tense up especially when two people disagree with each other, it is easy to see why a fight could break out. People are generally not upset that they don't believe in the same thing, but are simply upset that they were told that they were wrong. This will easily demonstrate that religion is not the main cause of fights because in this instance the two people would want to engage in a debate because they were told that they were wrong. Even though religion is often an underlying cause of war,the ultimate causes are political and economical gain, struggles for power, wealth and territory, and the leaders who seek power use religion as an excuse. They twist religion ideologies in order
