It was an eerie and foggy time of morning when Mr. Foster began to wake up. He looked over at his TV and saw that there was a flash flood last night. The flood devastated most of Kanawha County and the Metro Valley. Because the flood was so sudden, people on the scene knew there would be casualties. Edward knew this would be mighty well for his business which just happens to be one of the only funeral homes in that area of Kanawha County.
On 06-05-2016 at 1143 hours I was dispatched to 2525 Barron Road in reference to a subject in the road yelling. Upon my arrival in the area I located Danny Wilson in the back yard of 2525 Barron Road spraying himself with a water hose. Wilson was acting irate and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Wilson was asked multiple times what kind of drugs he had used and he advised marijuana and methamphetamine. Wilson was complaining it was extremely hot and was spraying himself with water and was advising people where chading him.
In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.
Was it that severe? How was my town affected? This was something I was wondering after a really strong storm went through my town. It was I think two or three years ago in Hampton Iowa. It was fascinating and threatening at the same time..
Whenever my mom has company at her house, guests always ask about the plaque that hangs in the living room on the wall. It reads Championship Mvp, 14-0 season, Jonesboro Wildcats. My mom always smiles and says, “Ask Markus about it.” I don’t mind telling people about the championship game. It is after all one of my fondest memories playing sports.
All my life I have lived in the small town of Walkertown, which is only about twenty minutes away from Winston-Salem. Five years ago Walkertown was small and you had to go to the next town over, Kernersville, if you wanted to go shopping for clothes or go out for dinner. Now, Walkertown is a lot more developed and less rural. However, it is nowhere near as developed as Winston-Salem, especially downtown. Winston-Salem is a built up city with a lot of impervious surfaces.
My Michigan Hero I want you to think of someone special, to think of a hero. When I think of a hero I think of my dad. I remember when I was younger, and I didn’t like to read. My dad taught me just how amazing reading is.
Several individuals from different ethnicities, races, and citizenships, compose a society. The United Sates allow us to have a close interaction with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my own case I have been able to interact with many incredible individuals from all over the world who come from extremely different backgrounds. I am a proud Mexican who cherishes respect towards diversity. Coming from a very suffered country I am able to understand not only what does it means to feel proud to be a Latino, but also I can feel acquainted with the pain and struggle that our community has to face every day.
It took them a whole month before i could go before a judge. I was sitting in my cell waiting for the correctional officer to come get me. I was ready to be outside these damn walls. Being here for over a month was killing me, I was missing out on my money and I haven't been getting no pussy. I mean there was some correctional officers that liked fucking inmates, but I didn’t feel right stepping out on Carmen
A trip to Racine, WI. Each time I got lost in the city, I said "I don 't want to go to Wisconsin. By this meant "I don 't want to get lost. " I had no idea, God would open a way for me to really experience going to Wisconsin and be hosted by an incredible person. It was an extraordinary time at the place where I visited, just can 't post pictures of that place, due to high security
For the past 9 years, my family and I have been going to an amazing place called Fish Creek in Door County, Wisconsin. It’s a small little town on the strip of Wisconsin. This year was probably one of my favorite years. We did many things like tandem biking, walking through the town, swimming, eating, and spending quality family time. As we were tandem biking through Peninsula State Park, our hearts racing, sweat dripping, and hair flowing through the breeze, I noticed a slight tug on my shoe.
When you're eighteen, it's hard for anyone to tell you what to do. After all you're an adult and you definitely think you've experienced it all. I’m a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School was not much different in my thinking - wanting to chase my dreams and have a college life beyond the boundaries of Kalamazoo. As an 18 year old, I was ready to leave my hometown, I thought I had seen everything Kalamazoo had to offer, and I was ready for new beginnings.
As a young girl, around the age of 10 I lived in the Perry projects with my mother. Previously to moving there I would visit often to see my great-grandmother. When I would visit my grandmother there were not many other people that were African-American. The Commodore Perry Projects had been actually made for white people.
Going to Silver Falls is a wonderful experience to see landscape. First, I have gone to Silver Falls, in Oregon, twice. My friends and I rented a car to drive there. Before we left Corvallis which is an hour from Silver Falls, we bought sufficient food for breakfast and lunch. We arrived there around 8 am.
At this age, most people have never even stepped foot in a courthouse. I think everyone should visit the courthouse and sit in on a trial, it’s a great learning experience especially for student’s. I think it’s interesting that anyone can sit in a on trial and see how everything works. A defendant or plaintiff will be there for a trial, where they may view the courthouse as a serious situation that could be life-altering. Civilians could be there for jury duty and find it to be tedious and boring.
