It was a normal summer day. My friends have decided to all meet up at one of our houses to hang out. After we met up we all decided that we would wait around nighttime to decide on something to do. As nighttime approached we all agreed to have an air rifle war around the neighborhood, with most people asleep at the time, it was the perfect thing to do. We were running around the neighborhood shooting each other with the air rifles. We all fought using trees, playgrounds, and anything that was near us for cover. The teams were split up into groups of five, with those who got hit the least the winners. We were coming up behind the enemy team, my friend was driving around 15 MPH, which wasn't slow but wasn't crazy fast. One of my friends jumped out first, he landed with no problem and started shooting at the enemy. It was then my turn, I stood up and then jumped off the truck. When I was in the air I deciding what I was going to do after I landed, was I going to start shooting or quickly get to cover. But after I landed, my whole body then hit the ground. I sat up and was wondering why there was so much pain in my left ankle until I looked at it. When I saw how twisted my ankle was I yelled in pain and called to the closest person to me. He quickly yelled for everyone to stop and they all gathered around me. They carried me to the truck and drove me back to his parents house. From there we went to the closest hospital to get my ankle checked up. We got to the hospital and had a doctor check up on me. While the doctor was looking at my ankle I called my parents to let them know that I was in the hospital for an ankle injury. He informed me that I had fractured my ankle, but that the fracture wasn't serious enough for surgery and that I would be wearing a cast for a couple of months. I learned a couple of things from this incident, one being to not jump out of a vehicle while it's moving. The other thing that I learned was that I need to think before I make rash decisions that could potentially harm me, that I should try to not act on my
