What if you walked into a grocery store where price tags were missing, brands were unknown, and the lines to checkout were difficult to navigate? Now think about the last time you visited a health care professional – were these factors known to you? Health care is a service like other industries, yet we lack the transparency for how to book an appointment, compare quality, and estimate price. In order to increase my impact on the experience of health care I will need to expand my current skillset and focus on the strategy of consumer digital health.
The last six years I have developed my skill set as a Product Manager, first working in financial services and now in health care. I am currently working with hospitals and health systems but would like to work directly on the patient experience, where The Advisory Board Company is not investing. I believe an MBA will expand my impact on the health care industry by broadening my skill set so that I can take the next step in my career.
