Personal Statement: A Career As A Nurse

One time when I was little, I was very sick, and I had to go to the hospital. I was lucky to have a helpful nurse, who assisted me to get through the illness. She was always there and had someway to help.She gave me my medications and just made me feel comfortable my time there. At that moment I was thinking ” I want to do this and help others that can’t help them-self”. Since then, I have been very interest in being a nurse, I want to specialize as a nurse in the ER for children.I want to help children, and let them have a happy and healthy life. When I am a nurse, I want to be able to make children feel in a comfortable state. I would like them to feel good with their surrounding like the doctors, treatment or the room they’re in.To make them feel comfortable I would not put pressure or tasks on the patients and are relaxed. I could also check on the patient to see how they are feeling, and update them and their family on what is happening. I intend to make their stay as pleasant as possible.Therefore, I am going to make sure they are comfortable, relaxed, and satisfied with their visit. …show more content…

I am going to help the person to do the right procedures to recovery for their illness. I would make sure I know, and can identify what they have and understand why they have it so, I can help get the patient out and ready to go. I can give them advice to what they are capable of doing in that state so they do not over do what they accomplish. As a consequence, I will help out as much as possible to make it a quick and helpful
