I am a dancer, and I will change the world one performance at a time! Dance is my passion and I plan to be a part of the dance world for the rest of my life. Dance is a non-verbal form of communication. Just like various art forms, both performing and non-performing, dancing conveys a message. Dance is such a powerful art form, that when coupled with music it can break barriers. As a performer it is my goal connect with and to influence my audience. When I dance there is always a story behind my movements and expressions. In a world that is so influenced by vast communication, I want to use my favorite form of expression to positively inspire others. I want my viewers to leave thinking, “‘I feel empowered’, ‘That dance made me think’, ‘I need to reach for my dreams’.” Every time I walk on stage I will dance my heart out, and pour everything I have into every move. This is my standard, because being called to dance and operating with a pure heart, will result in others around you getting blessed.

As a sophomore, I am currently studying Dance with a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Spanish. It is important to me that I study my craft; not necessarily to become perfect, but to learn how to operate with excellence. I would love to build programs in Spanish speaking countries, using dance to bring communities together. No matter where I teach my philosophy will be; dance is not just about 8 count steps, however more about influence and emotion.
