Personal Statement

When I hear the word “pledge”, all I can think about is the promise we make every day to the United State. When we say I pledge, we are not just pronouncing a few words, but we are making a promise that will long a whole life. The earth is very important for me and for this reason I pledge to save the planet. I pledge for sustainability. The earth needs a lot of human’s cooperation in order to be save from further destruction. If everybody promises to do their little part in saving the earth it will make it easier to change the world into a better place for future generations. There are many things I can do differently to improve the earth’s health. Things like recycling, saving water, buying sustainable things, saving fuel oil, and planting

One of the most important things in the earth is the fresh water. Only three percent of the water can be use to drink. For this reason I promise to save as much water as it’s possible for me. Only a little action can make many good changes in the earth. I will try to take shorter showers and tell my family to do the same as me. I will put all the dishes in the dishwasher and do it all at night, so I just have to use it once. When I wash my hand I will close the sink when I do not using it. In the summer I will wash my father’s car when it’s raining to conserve more water. Another thing I promise is to plant more trees. Trees are essentials for life in earth. However, humans do not appreciate the importance of saving and planting trees. We use trees to construct many things like houses, papers, and couches. But, we are forgetting that trees take carbon dioxide and produce oxygen which is essential for humans to survive. I pledge myself that I will save trees and I will try my best to plant more threes. We have the necessities of creating a better ecological living system that can benefit the earth and humans needs at the same

Recycling is one of the most important things everybody should do to improve the health of the earth. When we recycle we are reusing things and therefore we made less garbage. There are many innocent animals that have die because of the trashes in the ocean. For this reason I promise to recycle the garbage in my house and to influence other people to do the same. We are not just saving the world, but we are saving the earth and the generations that are to come. I will try to buy less plastic and refill my bottle water instead of throwing the plastic away. Also, I will try to drink less soda. The aluminum that it use to made the cans, it’s very hard for recycling. It takes a lot of energy to recycle the cans and for this reason I rather prefer to stop the problem from the beginning. It might be hard for me to change the way I have always been, but I also promise to myself that I will never give up and does not matter how hard things can be. All what people need is perseverance and patience and we will achieve any goals that we propose
