Citizens and noncitizen living in America have been embedded to believe that America is a place of prosperity a place where dreams come true. As a college student, I want to become a nurse not solely to the fact that science fascinates me, but because I want to help those in needs and to make this dream a reality like many students we need a degree. Education is the key for many to reach stability in life. The American Dream is stability and to achieve stability is getting a quality education and it isn’t attainable because of student loans, the rise in tuition and juggling between school and making ends meet.

Also, in the past 65% of baby boomers with student loans still carrying debt for their own education. Only a few students can afford to attend a university without getting help to pay for college through loans from the government, family, or banks or even two or more. It is also reported that a moderate college budget for an in-state public college for the 2017–2018 academic years averaged $25,290. A moderate budget at a private college averaged $50,900 the average student loan debt is $37,172 per student. Even if a student doesn't complete the credits need to obtain their chosen degree students are still required to pay for the loan in full. Students must pay back the loans, but also interest has been acuminating whether it is a fixed loan or variable interest rate. The people who take out huge student loans to pay for an education that doesn't guarantee a student in getting a job or that it will be of any use after college. Having debt puts burden to many individuals, especially putting into account other types of debt like a mortgage, car loans, and much more.
