I’m a girl, trying to succeed in life. Feeling like I am two different people when I’m at home and at school. Everyone has strengths and weakness. My greatest strengths are that I’m very open-minded, that I have hope for anything with that being said I’m a handwork to make to the goal possible. My weaknesses are my fears, being impatient, being too sensitive, and a fear to not succeed.
My Future as a Nurse Practitioner 1 Take a moment to imagine yourself in a hospital or a clinic. Have you ever wondered who is taking care of almost all of the patients in a medical facility, all at the same time? That person is a nurse practitioner, or an NP. Besides administering medication, treatments, diagnosing patients, and performing small outpatient surgeries, it is an NP’s job to treat all of their patients with love and care. Doing this makes their patients feel like family, so they will trust their NP to properly care for them.

When I was a child going to the doctor ’s offices was one of my least favorite things to do. Yes I always got a sticker when leaving which made it semi-tolerable, but getting poked by countless vaccines and being asked a million questions was stressful for a young child. The nurses at my doctor’s office were always full of smiles, and happiness and made the experience go a little smoother.

Ever since I was a little girl I always wished and pictured myself being a nurse. I used play time to dress up as a nurse and take care of my stuffed animals and dolls, along with using my sisters as my props. I was always had the strongest interest in health care and how it was really possible to have the ability to help or save someone. Kind of like a “superhero”. From there on I loved that feeling I got out of helping someone and making a change, I knew that one day I would be nurse.
Philosophy of Care and Professional Organizations Personal Statement Grand Canyon University: NUR 440 Heather Reed February 5, 2016 Philosophy of Care and Professional Organizations Personal Statement Personal Statement I chose nursing as my occupation because I believe that it is my calling to help others and to care for those in need. In order to conclude if there is a fit between the healthcare field and myself, I must first ensure that there is a fit between my personal values and the organizations. My values include an environment with patient-centered-care, kindness, honesty, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and quality nursing practice. It is my philosophy that nurses are given the responsibility to deliver safe and universal care that is centered on the needs of the patient.
Personal Statement My professional goal is to attend college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus to take a 4-year degree in Nursing. I chose this career because this is what I always dreamed of to be since I was young. Every time we visited the doctor’s office, I was always amazed of how the nurse is dressed in white and how skillful she was in helping the doctor. Whenever I have a doctor’s appointment, I would observe how the nurse would check my weight and height, my pulse, my blood pressure, and my temperature.

Registered Nurse is a good choice because you get to work with a variety of patients, and kids in the pediatric department and geriatric. Nurses are also very specialized in neo-natal intensive care.
