“Our flag is red, white, and blue but our nation is a rainbow- red, yellow, brown, black, and white and we are all precious in God’s sight.’- Jesse Jackson. Jesse Jackson was an African American civil rights leader and became one of the most influential African Americans. Jesses joined the congress of Racial Equality which was founded in 1914. There many different skin colors, races, religions, and beliefs in our country, but that doesn 't mean we should be treated with any less respect. We all have one thing in common we live in a great country called America. In the past racism has been a big issue in America and still is today. I think it’s really sad because we are all people and have loved ones and there are no two of the exact same people we are all different. I realize America was awful to colored people but that 's history and we need to learn from it and move on to do better and make this country a better place. In the past year or so some of the NFL players have really made an uprising about racism and in my eyes are not going about it in the right matter. Before any sporting event we play the National Anthem as a sign of respect and gratefulness for our veterans and those who continue to train and fight when need to for our country so that we can live in a safe country.
