If citizens in our society today revolted against their established rulers, and a small group of intellectually superior but corrupt and inexperienced citizens decided to take leadership, they might find that their lots in life turn out worse than ever before. This is the situation presented to reader in George Orwell’s book Animal Farm. The last page in Animal Farm sates “ ‘Gentlemen,’ concluded Napoleon, ‘I will give you the same toast as before, but in a different form. Fill your glasses to the brim… But as the animals outside gazed at the scene, it seemed to them that some strange thing was happening. … But what was it that seemed to be melting and changing? Some might say it doesn’t matter that the pigs did not have the same knowledge and experience as the humans, and this could even be a good thing because the pigs were fresh and ready to run the farm with a new order and a new vision of animal-centered structure. This is not true, though, because there are just some skills and information necessary for the smooth running of such a large and complicated thing as a farm. The pigs did not know what they were getting into, and they did not care. Due to this, the farm quickly fell apart, but the pigs, in their ignorance, kept trying to pretend like everything was alright, making the situation even worse. The pigs tried to make themselves appear like good rulers, but with no experience and no idea of how to fairly run a farm, the animals’ lives ended up a lot worse than when they were ruled by
