We live in a society that is unable to draw an image of the world without social classes. The contrasts in our environment are easily spotted out, ranging from physical attributes to bank accounts. It has been like that in the United States, since our early beginnings. Capitalism has ruled our government and implemented classes, which we think are acceptable, but in reality, may create more harm than good in the long run. Our government has kept us in the cave of capitalism, and we have maintained in it whilst thinking of communism as a barbaric form of government. However, if I were to choose from a capitalistic or communistic government to alleviate poverty, I would side with communism. We have invested time and effort in capitalism, but let’s not forget that poverty arose from it.
To begin with, what is capitalism and communism? In Carnegie’s point of view, capitalism is almost like survival of the fittest. In other words, it is necessary for society to have a sense of individuality as well as competition. Carnegie believed,

As the upper class increases, the people from the other classes begin to lose their jobs or even their homes. Significantly, having a capitalistic government would not decrease poverty, it would maintain it, because there will always be wealthier people willing to hurt the poor. On the other hand, theoretically people are considered equal in a communistic government. They’re all given equal resources like health care and education, but most importantly, jobs. With unemployment decreasing, a vast decrease in crimes and poverty would occur, as well.
