Dropping the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved hundreds of thousands of American lives. The Second World War was the most devastating war in the history of mankind. Japan’s militarism widely supported the United States’ decision to drop the nuclear bomb. The Manhattan project also helped develop the nuclear bomb’s and it was inevitable that we were going to use them at some point. Japan attacked the United States first at Pearl Harbor.
