During his presidential campaign, President Donald Trump has promised the people of the United States that he was going to create a large wall that would separate us from Mexico. This idea came about as a solution to prevent any illegal immigrants from crossing the border illegally and steal jobs from Americans. He was even resulting to shutting down the government in order to acquire the appropriate funds. If the wall is to be built, then it could lead to undesirable consequences, as the wall may come as an ill judged course of action to some and may start a conflict that no one is willing to prepare for. Not everyone is excited about the construction of the wall. Most of the wall has already been completed. Trump ignored the ridicule about the wall being a joke and continued plotting fortifying it. It could prove to be a difficult challenge for any immigrates that tries to cross over. In accordance to author Peter Andreas, Trump “will simply add more miles of fencing; reinforce existing fencing in key, visible places; and deploy even more border guards, stadium lighting, and the latest high-tech detection and surveillance equipment.” This has the potential of being of the most dangerous and fortified barrier in the nation, if not the world.
