On August 25th through September 3rd, a cataclysmic hurricane swept through the southern United States. The deadly hurricane left 77 people dead, and hundreds of thousands injured. Harvey also left countless of families without food, power, and a home. With the catastrophe in hand, many people ask what the future will hold. “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
With election year being this year, and President Trump being elected as our new president, we all are apprehensive with the fear of change. His main campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again”. However, with Hurricane Harvey sweeping through the southern United States, many people ask how Trump will deal with the most tremendous hurricane the United States has ever seen. Trump gave one million dollars of his own money to the charities in Houston, dividing the money into twelve parts. Many people believe that Mr. Trump is doing a superb job at helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey. When attack happened on September 11, 2001, nearly three thousand people lost their lives. Many were left feeling a sense of hopelessness and confused on what had happened. However, being caring, patriotic, generous, citizens of America, we came together to help the victims that had suffered so ample that day.
