In order to achieve a successful immigration reform, the first step that the U.S. needs to take is by giving current illegal immigrants a chance at legal citizenship. Illegal Immigrants throughout the U.S. are costing the country over 100 billion dollars each and every year. There are a total of 50.3 million students that were enrolled into public schools in the year of 2016. The average cost of a 13 inch macbook pro with retina display is $1,299. That means if we give every single student in public school a new computer, it would cost the country a total of $65,339,700,000. This leaves an extra 34 billion dollars left over. Total cost for illegal immigrants each year is more than 113 billion dollars each year. Get back about 13 billion dollars. This demonstrates that illegal immigrants are hurting the government. How may this affect you? Its hurting the things that you take for granted. The public transportation. Public services. Schools. So many systems that could be made so much better with this money.
