The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is set in ancient Rome around 45 BC after Julius defeated Pompey. The perspective of the ancient romans are very different from ours today In 2018. In ancient Rome suicide was deemed as justifiable and they acted very lenient towards it. If someone wished to end their life in ancient Rome they could apply to the Senate and if approved they would be allowed to commit suicide. The roman government would even provide hemlock, a highly poisonous plant, to the person who craves death. The only people who were not permitted to take their own lives were soldiers and slaves due to patriotic reasonings. From this you can conclude that suicide in Rome was not regarded as a inadequate act, and it was often acceptable. Yet, in 2018 suicide is still a topic that is considered taboo. Since future is a time occuring later I don't believe that I can change or control it fully. I do believe that every decision you make does effect what will happen in your future, but I also believe that we have no control of the future since we are already predestined for whatever is going to occur. I believe this is the same for every person on this earth since we are all created equally. However, I am a very superstitious person. I constantly knock on wood, chant divine order when I can't find something, and I cringe everytime I see a black cat. Although I don't have any special rituals I perform before special occasions, I do watch out for bad omens. I'm also very interested in my horoscope even though I don't keep up with it religiously.
