As a country we do everything the government tells us to but,we are not treated with the respect we deserve. This is why most Americans are refusing to pay taxes. Most Americans pay more for oil and gas prices. Oil companies make a great deal of money sell and pumping oil. Oil companies make big bucks by taxing Americans more for gas and oil than food. The political involvement in why oil companies make so much money off oil.
Studies have shown that the reason that oil supply is questioned because of the "political instability in some oil-producing nations is also contributing to uncertainly about the future supply"(Cohen). The oil supply we have will eventually run out if we do not learn how to use it more efficiently. Most people like the companies that sell this product will over the possibility of running low on oil to get the bottom dollar from the world. "The energy bill that President Bush signed in 2005 does nothing to address the U.S factor that are driving oil prices to record highs" because of all of the price changes over time
