Opioid usage is an immense problem that is rapidly increasing in today's society. The painkillers such as, oxycodone, percocet, heroin (which is made of morphine), percodan (which are all opioids), are prescribed to patients who are experiencing pain. Many people believe that taking opioids will help them with pain management, however, overdosing and the misuse of these drugs have now become major problems and have led to numerous causes of deaths. This has become an enormous issue that people are not aware of and have caused not only health issues yet financial welfare likewise. The amount of people affected by this devastating crisis is an outstanding number and is not considered a serious issue people undoubtedly should be alert and informed about. Opioids are vastly addictive and highly dangerous when used inappropriately. It is to be said that, remarkably, almost all causes of deaths are due to people overdosing .Therefore, as a united society, we should confine all the usage of opioids as a result of the severe negative impacts towards our domain. Although, drug addicts consume vast amounts of drugs, all of these cultures and races have all witnessed and experienced the negative effect that drugs portray in one’s life. Heroin worsens the brain in which provokes brain disease. Considering heroin having a portion of morphine, people also use this type of drug to get themselves high. To get addicted to morphine, you would be required to take a tremendous amount of it, but is easily addictive, which is why people misuse it and eventually overdose on morphine, which causes them to need and have the urge to use it more as a consequence to start trying new
