Speed limit laws, seat belt laws, and driver’s education laws have been fabricated. Framing these laws is a way governments try to keep us safe, and this law type should continue to be stringently enforced. But are they really assisting us if they take a multitude of other possibilities, including (but not limited to) fun and efficiency, away in the process? Technological advances can drastically enhance the aspects of our sometimes frenzied and hectic lives. The question would be, are we willing to take a chance to acquire some of the best, most innovative items money can buy for a cheaper price?

“No license required” laws might seem like a robbed dream. Operating a self-driving vehicle would eventually require no skill whatsoever. Additionally, Driver’s Ed instructors and driver’s license testing facilities would go out of business. But maybe then they could get a job refining and perfecting the cars, or teaching people how to use them properly. John briefly mentioned that robots have a better reaction reflex, so traffic jams would be a thing of the past. Also, you could probably go faster because the robots can stop way faster than humans. So you could get to your destination faster, with no worries. Then you can spend your extra time doing something productive, such as work. So anyone could most likely understand why legislatures are so hesitant to allow these machines. But there’s a point where you have to trust the process. Creating various tests for the automobiles would show the safety level of self-driving vehicles. However, people also have the freedom to choose. If they would rather drive themselves, they have absolutely every right to do so. Therefore the vehicles should have smooth, cohesive incorporation of regular and self-driving vehicles. Also, the cars should all have an option to drive yourself and options for different road conditions and speeds. People have their own comfort zone, and I totally respect that.
