Trans fats are one of the most dangerous, deadly ingredients ever, yet people seem to consume them almost everyday, and increase their risks of vicious diseases by doing so. The “Trans Fat Ban”, a regulation reducing or completely removing trans fats in foods, could help the decline of deaths by trans fat. This ban is leading america in the right direction; keeping citizens healthy and safe from a ruthless killer. People were tricked into thinking these fats were better for our health than some alternatives so when people were smacked in the face with news that trans fats were barely edible and the fact that they were in most foods made it tricky to completely eliminate them. But with a little push like all these small bans, eliminating them and their bleak outcome might become a tad easier. Furthermore, with all these small bans already many lives have been saved and diseases and suffering have been avoided, kicking them out completely will help solve the problem once and for all. “ A national ban on trans fats starts in 2018 and the study by a team at Yale University shows it may not only cut deaths, but non-fatal heart attacks and strokes as well.” Ebbing them from our food will make America healthier, and happier, Trans fats have huge impacts on people and their families, because not only will it leave people affected by the diseases ailing but leaving people who are close to them grieving. No one likes to see their friends or family in pain especially when the cause could be avoided.
