Wouldn’t you like to see your student succeed and go far in life? Well it’s very simple, all you have to do is recommend them for the Ulysses program to get them started. This program is researched based, and allows students to take higher level classes and learn skills they would not learn in normal courses. It mainly focuses on English, Science, and Government(History). Senior year, you create a huge research project on any topic of your choice(an interest or passion you have) and present it to the community. The Ulysses is an amazing program, and I think it would be very beneficial for me to participate in.
You should recommend me, because the Ulysses program will help me get accepted into the exemplary college of my choice. One way it will help you get into college, is that you take higher level courses and other classes you might not take if you’re not in the program. I have had straight A’s for all three years of middle school and have always tried to keep my grades up. In English (7th and 8th grade), I have had 100% for multiple quarters and the others I have gotten high A’s. According to MyMCPS Portal, this year in history I achieved a 100% both quarters, meaning I haven’t gotten one thing wrong on any tests or projects and have turned in all my homework. In science as well, I have kept my grades up and gotten A’s every quarter for 3 years. In all, that means I got A’s in all 7 of my classes for 2 and a half years, which equals a total of 82 A’s and I’m not even done with my 3rd year yet.
