Should Bus rides be free in the city lot say bus rides should be free, others say no they shouldn’t. I say they should, you see people all the time needing a ride somewhere. You see homeless, kids, and workers needing to get somewhere. But they can’t always afford the tickets to get on the busses so why do they charge everyone to get on a bus? What do you think what's your opinion? Yes both sides have good reasons, yes one side may be better than the other.
In the article “Maybe Bus Rides Should Be Free” is showing how much time gets wasted with bus rides and how many people get fined for not having a ticket. In these cities when people need bus rides there are thousands of people trying to get on a bus ride without a ticket. Most of the time it works but then they get caught and fined for not having a ticket just to ride a bus. Well most would say why is this an issue? You have all these different kids on the other side of the city walking to school because they don’t have bus rides, they are taking the subway, biking, or walking and being late so school. Same goes for parents. You see these kids sitting out waiting for a subway train to come by just to go to the other side of the city for school. In the article “Free busses” it states that 37% kids in middle schools and high schools are late to class because they live further away than others. Point here is they can’t afford bus rides, or they are just to full. Same as parents they need to get to work maybe they lost their car or broke down maybe to much trafic. They can’t just walk to work so how can they get there if they also don’t have the time to wait for everyone to get on the bust. Yes may be unfair for some people because you have tons of people always on the bust to where you can’t get on but there are multiple busses for people to ride around the
