Online College: My Safe Haven
It seems like, in this day and age, more people are attending college. Whether it be on campus, or even from home gaining a degree has never been so popular. Deciding to attend an online college is beneficial to my personal goals and allows me to gain valuable insight into my chosen course.
Extreme sibling rivalry aided my resolve of attending college. Anyone who has siblings are aware of the burning desire that comes from trying to prove who the superior sibling is. Two out of my trio of siblings have, unsuccessfully, went to college. The end result, for both cases, flunking because they lacked the personal zest that it takes to turn goals into reality. My family's failure has given me the incentive to achieve my personal goal of being number one by demonstrating I will receive my degree.

With my husband being an active member of the military, I can never be definite about where I will live in this vast world. Wherever I travel, I can take online college with me. Worries of having to transfer credits and re-enroll at new places are no longer present in my mind. With my current situation, I believe that the online college is my best-suited option. In my head, I refer to online college as my safe haven. Moving around to different place isn't enough to delay me in furthering my education.
For years I have acknowledged that I want to become a teacher. That being said, I am indecisive on the subject that I want to teach. My wide variety of interests only muddles my decision further. I have an ardent belief that an associate in general studies, with an emphasis in education, will set me on the right path. This area of study allows me to take courses that peak my interests and is not set on one subject.
