In Australia, refugees and asylum seekers are treated like the enemy in a war: the target of a highly resourced, military-led “deterrence” strategy complete with arbitrary detainment, detention camps, guards to terrorise them, forced deportations and the violent suppression of those who protest. Australia is failing to meet the standards required when regarding the treatment of asylum seekers. It is fact that asylum seekers make up less than 3% of Australia’s annual immigration yet the idea is being distorted to that of which they will overpopulate a country that prides itself on being a multicultural society. I want to shed light on the misconception that asylum seekers are not ‘legal’ when in actual fact it is a human right to seek freedom.
Extended essay response Jonathan Scriva Hollywood films have influenced our values and beliefs of socio-cultural groups within a film. In the context of race and gender the films Cowboys and Aliens (2011) and the searchers (1956) both share similarities. These two successful films are 55 years apart the both convey the perspectives of race and gender through the reflection of American Indians in these films. The films The Searchers and Cowboys and Aliens show that Hollywood has changed the way we see the status of Indians. In the earlier film the Indians are represented as killers and mongrels as in this current day and age we have grown to accept them and appreciate their culture.
The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street There was a teleplay called “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street.” It was about a group of neighbors who were so paranoid and frightened because they thought aliens were living amongst them. The play is unrealistic because Les Goodman’s car starts by itself and car don’t do that, aliens aren’t real, and Steve was accused of talking to aliens using his ham radio. A boy named Tommy was the one who started this.

Imagine if you were born into a country filled with poverty, fear, anxiety, despair and sorrow. The pain and suffering you would go through every day was so violent that you and your family had given up on all measures of hope. Every day you would fear persecution and you couldn’t even feel safe in the comfort of your own home. But what if there was a sliver of hope of escaping this drama occurring in your homeland by leaving by boat. All this drama gone in a flash, wouldn’t you want to try?
How would you feel if you and your family were denied the opportunity to a better life or had to wait years for one? The immigrants goal is to strive for a better future for themselves and their family. Coming here will help them achieve that goal. You may be thinking why cant they have a good future where they live? In some cases, the country they live in could be poor, not have many schools, is not safe, etc.
The United States of America is a land of freedom, a land of equality, and opportunity. We value independence and should look to exercise this in every form, as a nation. We must stay united and show respect to one another. This means we should not disregard ones ' ethnicity and culture, and use names in which are offensive towards their culture, in order to promote any sort of activity. This is aimed mainly at sports teams that carry racially inappropriate names.
Dear fellow nasty women and bad hombres, America is one the greatest experiments in freedom and liberty history has ever known. We are a nation that was built on the minds and ideals of immigrants. Our Founding Fathers created America so that everyone could have a chance at "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Those are aspects of my country, I would never change because they are what make us unique. The glow of America casts a ripple of hope upon those who struggle.
I.Introduction One of the greatest controversies in modern day is illegal immigrants. There are an approximate 11.4 undocumented immigrants that live in our country today. Now with your new action in place, I think it’s a good thing. Mainly because it allows lasting illegal immigrants to stay here, it allows jobs to go to documented americans, and gives children hope for a better future ahead. II.
On July 20th, 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed on the surface of the moon. It was certainly one of the most extraordinary events accomplished by mankind up to that date. Neil Armstrong’s first words upon stepping on the moon surface will always be remembered “ A small step for mankind, a giant leap for humanity”. Ever since then, this achievement has been a matter of discussion by several groups that either believed or disbelieved this.
The hollow earth theory or ‘hohlwelttheorie’ as it is called in German, is the idea that the Earth is not a solid mass but rather an entirely hollow sphere that within contains a substantial interior space. The idea goes back to ancient mythology, folklore, and legends of a subterranean land inside the Earth, from which places of origin and afterlife were thought to be located, such as the Christian hell described by Dante, the Greek underworld, the Hindu ‘Patala’, the Celtic ‘Cruachan’ just to name few, which in its majority were caves or holes that connected the outside Earth with its interior, from which strange creatures would emerge and be seen in the surface. However, the idea didn’t have any scientific credibility until 1962 when English

Human is an advanced, indigenous, intelligent species on Earth, or so we would like to think. As humans we would all like to think that we represent a form of rational, wise, analytical group in the gargantuan Universe. We would all tend to think our human race is imperishable, we’re at the top of food chain and aren’t foolish enough to drive ourselves into extinction. I am here to assure you that it’s not. The continued rise of global terrorism and panic in Middle East, additional to remaining oil conflicts in South China Sea and worldwide technological & economic infrastructure lagging in the present days.
Have you ever seen this picture? This picture is a lot more than a poetic protest on media. It is the reality. In the 21st century, the average cost of a human is $90 globally.
