First, you must recognize that we humans are like sponges that absorb every liquid around them. So those whom we hang around with can influence us in the matter of procrastination. (You remember what I said about this in Chapter 4 about how your associates can make it either easy or difficult for you to overcome procrastination?)
How I wish you could hang out with Bill Gates or Elon Musk. I tell you; just 15 minutes with those guys might give you all the inspiration that will take you away from procrastination for life. Nevertheless, must it be Elon Musk or Bill Gates? No, it doesn’t have to be either of them. There are a lot of other people with similar qualities that can inspire you; they’re around you; look for them.
If you want to stop procrastinating, chill out with friends who could help you in your resolve.
14. Announce your determination to stop
I know what you’re thinking. I don’t mean that you must go public to announce through a paid advert or on social media that you’re stopping procrastination. Nothing of that sort. But you can choose a buddy. Make sure you choose the guy that will give you a pat on the back. In other words, let it be a friend that appreciates your resolve and that is thinking

You can find more than one friend and tell them about your plans and the goals that you want to achieve. For example, if you tell your friends that you are going to join the gym to lose some weight, you will subconsciously know that it will be an embarrassment if you don’t do what you have promised. They’ll also ask you how you’redoing with your training and if you see any progress. Their concernwill motivate you to work on your goal even harder. For sure, you won’t give a room for any thought of postponing it because you would like to be consistent with what you said to them. You’ll rather work harder; train more vigorously at the gym to keep shedding
