It also allows drugs like Naloxone which can stop the effects of an opioid for a short period of time. This drug currently requires a prescription, but with the new plan they would be able to anyone without a prescription. (T) In the CDC’S low and slow policy, we plan to give the patients one bottle of opioids every six months, this will help the abuse because recipients will have to learn how to moderate. Before prescription, the doctors will place a background check on the patients, this is to make sure they have not abused before

(W) According to the CDC, they plan to manage the amount of opioids prescribed at a time, improve communication between patients about the benefits and risks of using prescription opioids for chronic pain. Doctors will also prescribe opioids little at a time instead of a long term prescription. (T) The low and slow policy will also make it easier to obtain drugs that counter an overdose on opioids. Right now most states require a prescription, with the new plan they will be able to obtain these drugs without a prescription.
