The scope of the UBC Pharmacy Practice Residency Program is to provide residents with the structured, strong and varied learning opportunities needed to develop the scientific background, talents and professional attributes necessary for direct patient care roles and innovative practice of pharmacy.

The program focused on institutional pharmacy practice and designed to provide residents with unique opportunities to practice within the variety of sites and patient care settings encompassed by vast urban and rural university-affiliated health regions, skillful preceptors provide residents with role models to follow in their career objectives pursuit and a network of practice specialists, mentors and researchers who can provide lifelong guidance.

Moreover, I have also been actively involved in clinical research through my Pharm.D project under Dr. Nirmeen A. Sabry supervision at Cairo University. It is a prospective study of “How rational is antibiotics used for hospitalized patients in some Egypt hospitals” it was great to share our results and realize that the prevalence of inappropriate use of antibiotics is high enough to recommend rational use in hospitals after clinical pharmacist consultation.
